Discover Our History
2010
Our First Steps
We started off as Green Apple Webs, a small website design firm focused on supporting customers in the Midwest United States. Our initial customers were small businesses who didn’t have a website, or who had very basic websites without any real capabilities. We chose to focus on WordPress because it has an easy-to-use Content Management System (CMS), which allows our customers to make basic updates themselves, and it is highly extensible. We also found ourselves building eCommerce sites based on the Magento and WooCommerce platforms. We built everything from bicycle shops with 5000+ items in their online-stores to bakeries with 15 to 10 goods for sale. Business was good and we were growing.

2015
#1 Award in Innovative Website Design
As our experience grew, so did our reputation for working with customers to understand their needs and deliver quality websites at a fair price. Our customer base quickly expanded, and we found ourselves building websites for companies all over he world and across industries, including one well-known, global pharmaceutical company that needed a new website for a drug they were launching. We built a single site with both public and private content, integrated it with Active Directory for Single Sign-On (SSO) capabilities, and helped them launch a brand that went to #1 in their therapy category. Our design and integration work won an award for both Branding & Innovation. Needless to say, we were and are, very proud of our work.

2020
New Offices
As collaboration technology matured and became available to the masses, we decided to embrace the ‘work from anywhere‘ trend, moving from our office just outside St. Louis to full-time working from home, or Starbucks, or any place we could get a great internet connection. It turned out to be a GREAT move because shortly afterwards, COVID shut down travelling to customer sites and having face-to-face meetings. For us, it meant business as usual, so we forged ahead helping our customers find new ways to connect with their customers via their digital / web presence.

2025
Renewed Focus & Growth
In 2024, we found ourselves at a crossroads. We could continue to grow, hiring more and more people to design and build websites …or we could refocus on our original mission statement, which was to be a small, profitable, and great place to work. We chose to focus on being a small boutique website design firm. We are leveraging AI where we can to help with the workload. We are continuing to focus on our customers. And most importantly, we are having fun.
